GEM Launches New Map App for Low-Speed Vehicles

GEM Little

If you’ve got a GEM low-speed electric vehicle, this app is for you! The new GEM Go app identifies nearby roads with posted speed limits of 35 mph or lower, so you can ensure you’re traveling safely. Download GEM Go for free at go.GEMcar.com.

As cities look to increase safety, they’re lowering speed limits. Now, more than half of U.S. roads have posted speed limits of 35 mph or less. Some cities, such as Washington D.C., have a city-wide speed limit of 20 mph, so if you have a low-speed vehicle, you can travel anywhere in the city.

According to Keith Simon, CEO of Waev Inc., “GEM has been leading the charge in LSVs for more than 25 years. We created the GEM Go mapping app to help current and future GEM owners understand the breadth of places LSVs can actually operate – it’s eye-opening and we expect it will drive even greater adoption of LSVs across the country.”

For more than 25 years, GEM has been an established electric vehicle leader in the low-speed vehicle space. GEM LSVs are street-legal, four-wheel, electric motor vehicles that can be driven on most U.S. roads. With a tight turning radius, nimble performance, and compact footprint, GEM low-speed electric vehicles are the ideal golf cart alternative for both residential and commercial uses.

Briggs Equipment is proud to be an official GEM dealer, bringing GEM’s innovative electric vehicles and personnel carriers to a broad market across the southeastern United States. Briggs offers a comprehensive range of GEM electric vehicles, along with parts and services for aftermarket support.
